↵This is an odd statement given that all the information I’ve been given about internal hopes for the buys are in the 60-90k range. For White to be out front saying that they expect 180k is really strange. I suppose the intent could simply be to give the impression that “people are buying this, you should too!” but in actuality I think 180,000 buys is a lot to ask for from a show with one recognizable name on it and a brand that isn’t an established PPV driver.
↵Of course, Zuffa never has to actually release the true number of buys and if anyone were to report on the numbers being low (if that is the case) they could easily say “you’re wrong” and leave it at that.
↵Whatever the number of buys does end up being, it’s a very compelling card with a ton of good fights. So from the pure MMA fan perspective, I couldn’t be more excited about this Saturday night.
