You would think that Pete Carroll would be desperately trying to shake the has-a-little-too-much-fun-with-it reputation that he earned while he was the head coach of the Patriots, before being run out of New England 11 years ago. You would think wrong.
Pete Carroll Tweets Songs As Draft Clues. Yes, It’s As Confusing As It Sounds.
↵Carroll has spent the entire day today tweeting clues about whom his team may be targeting in tomorrow’s draft in the form of vague song titles; creating a play list that is equal parts convoluted and amusing. Here are my faves.
↵Let the Beat Build - Lil Wayne
↵Smooth Criminal - Michael Jackson
↵California Love - Tupac
↵And the clincher - Today Was A Fairy Tale - The Incomparable Taylor Swift
↵What player(s) is Carroll talking about? Your guess is as good as mine. What do these songs even have to do with the sport of football? Who knows. The only thing I know for sure is that after having spent nearly a decade goofing around with college kids at USC, Carroll appears to be more than serious enough to be the head of a football organization of professional grown ass men. Something tells me Tom Landry would have done the EXACT same thing if he had access to the same technology.
