Satan’s Magical Touch Gives Bruins 3-1 Series Lead
Boston, MA (Sports Network) - Miroslav Satan’s power-play tally at 7:41 of the second overtime lifted Boston over Buffalo, 3-2, in Game 4 of this Eastern Conference quarterfinal set from TD Garden.
Boston was aided in the victory by a bench minor penalty on the Sabres which occurred at the 5:50 mark.
As the advantage wound down, Michael Ryder carried down the right wing, and from the outer edge of the right circle, fed back into the slot for Satan. The veteran winger skated in alone, pulled Ryan Miller out of position and slid a backhander through traffic for the game-winner.
David Krejci and Patrice Bergeron netted third-period scores for the Bruins, who swept a pair of games at home and hold a 3-1 series edge. Tuukka Rask was strong in net with 35 saves.
Tim Kennedy and Steve Montador provided the offense for the Sabres, who will try to stave off elimination back home in Game 5 on Friday.
Miller played well in defeat, making 36 stops.
