↵Shields would be a huge signing for the UFC, not only because he is a legitimate top tier fighter, but it also hurts Strikeforce and gives Georges St. Pierre a solid challenger at welterweight. Shields’ win over Dan Henderson should prove to everyone that his game is top notch. He was able to take Henderson down at will and mount him every time the fight hit the floor. The one knock on Jake will remain the lack of finishing ability that he shows when he is able to dominate a fight as was the case against both Henderson and Jason Miller.
