Ilya Kovalchuk is a feisty guy. He leaves it all on the line each time he hits the ice, he calls out opposing star players, and sometime he goes a bit over the top. But it’s clear that he’s passionate, and now, he’s guaranteed a victory for his New Jersey Devils in Game 5 on Thursday night against Philadelphia.

↵↵When I asked him today, Kovalchuk said he isn’t thinking about the fact that this could be his last game in a Devils sweater.
“No. Because we’re going to win tomorrow,” he said.

↵By the way, Ilya #Kovalchuk is 1-7 in playoff games. I don't think that qualifies him to guarantee anything.
