During Thursday’s A’s-Yankees game, Alex Rodriguez -- who was standing on first -- rounded third on a Robinson Cano foul ball. When he returned to first base, he took a direct path over the pitcher’s mound. And Mr. Dallas Braden did not like that very much.

Rosales’ sacrifice fly in the fourth made it a 4-0 game. Thames and Teixeira each hit a solo homers to left in the fifth and sixth innings, respectively, to cut the Yankees’ deficit to 4-2.
