Newsmen differ on Haynesworth trade as draft nears
Adam Schefter of ESPN might be one and Jason LaCanfora of NFL Network might be the other. The two lead newsmen for their respective employers have had differentiating reports involving Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth.
LaCanfora is in the camp that expects Haynesworth to be dealt. He contends that Tennessee will get their big defensive tackle back for a third-round pick tonight. LaCanfora also says the Vikings could be involved in a trade for Haynesworth.
Schefter disagrees. Late last night he reported that the “door is shut” on Haynesworth being dealt to Tennessee. He followed that a short time ago on Twitter with this:
Once again, told that Redskins DT Albert Haynesworth is not being traded.
So that’s two completely different opinions on a big-name player being traded. One will be wrong. One will be right. What do you think is going to happen?
Update: Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said on NFL Network that Haynesworth will not be traded.
