Injury sidelines Mike Mayock during NFL Draft

This is akin to Colt McCoy going down in the national championship game. Mike Mayock is off NFL Network and taken to writing on NFL.com.

Mayock’s throat became scratchier and scratchier throughout the day Friday. Today, he had nothing.

“I’m disappointed not to be on the air today as part of NFL Network’s draft coverage, because I lost my voice, but I’m glad I can be here sharing some information with everyone today,” Mayock wrote.

Corey Chavous of DraftNasty.com will now be NFL Network's "draft analyst." ESPN counters with Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay.

You have to feel bad for Mayock. Well, unless you work for ESPN.
