Raiders Extend Jason Campbell’s Contract Through 2011, Give Up 4th Round Pick In 2012

Details of the Jason Campbell trade are starting to leak out.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Raiders added one year onto Campbell’s contract. He was playing under the one-year tender in 2010 for $3.1 million. NFLN’s Jason La Canfora says the extension will pay him “about $4.5 million” in 2011.

It’s also been reported that the Raiders gave up a fourth round pick in 2012 for Campbell’s services.

To review: JaMarcus Russell, the No. 1 overall pick, received over $30 million in guaranteed in money.

And the Raiders just traded a fourth round pick for a backup quarterback to replace him.

That’s about right.
