Mavs forward Eduardo Najera should probably expect a phone call from NBA sheriff Stu Jackson after his clothesline, flagrant-two foul on Manu Ginobili (who was already dealing with a previously broken nose) in the fourth quarter of Game 4:
While Najera’s not-so-subtle takedown earned him a prompt ejection, it was only one of several flagrant fouls in a chippy game that also saw Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Kidd go down on hard fouls. Don’t be surprised if the refs crack down in Game 5 as they try to prevent this series between bitter in-state rivals from spiraling down even further.
