↵They gave out $65,000 ‘fight night’ bonuses, which was a huge raise from the $10,000 bonus on the last WEC event. Lightweight champ, Benson Henderson got Submission of the Night for choking out Donald Cerrone, Manny Gamburyan got Knockout of the Night for his upset victory over Mike Brown, and the ‘Fight of the Night’ went to Leonard Garcia and Chan Sung Jung.

↵These were all deserving winners although I personally preferred Anthony Pettis’ triangle choke of Alex Karalexis for submission of the night.
↵It does turn out that Mike Brown was having personal issues prior to the fight and missed a couple weeks of his training camp. This all seemed to be reflected in a very poor performance against Manny Gamburyan where he looked slow and unwilling to engage before getting blasted with a short right hand.
