It used to be that everybody knew Mike Bacsik for serving up home run number 756 to Barry Bonds. The good news for Mike Bacsik: giving up a homer is no longer the only reason people know who he is. The bad news for Mike Bacsik: now people know him for being racist.
Mike Bacsik Had A Bad Day
↵I’m not going to pretend that a handful of presumably drunken tweets reveal everything we need to know about Mike Bacsik as a person, but it’s safe to say that, as Bacsik watched the Mavericks play the Spurs on Sunday night, he posted a few things to the Internet that he probably shouldn’t have posted. Among them:

↵↵Bacsik has since deleted his tweets and apologized, but the screenshot function is a powerful tool. Whether Bacsik was voicing his true beliefs or simply lashing out out of frustration, he has unwisely left that decision up to an unforgiving and readily judgmental public.
↵On an interesting note, between now and the time that screenshot was taken, Bacsik has gained more than 300 followers. If you’re starting up a new company and looking to establish a presence in a saturated and overwhelming market, there are a lot of things you can to do draw attention to yourself, but based on recent evidence, as option #1 I might recommend hate speech.
