San Francisco, CA (Sports Network) - Eli Whiteside and Mark DeRosa knocked in two runs each, as San Francisco got to Philadelphia's Roy Halladay for five runs in a 5-1 final from AT&T Park in the opener of a three-game series.

Whiteside homered off the left-field foul pole and doubled in a run, while DeRosa provided a two-out, two-run single in the first inning. Aubrey Huff also drove in a run for the Giants, who had taken two of three from St. Louis at home over the weekend.
Jonathan Sanchez (2-1) lasted only five innings and reached 107 pitches, but held the Phillies to just three hits and a run with six strikeouts. The lefty walked five but has given up just two runs over his last three starts totaling 20 innings.
Halladay (4-1), meanwhile, had been of the best pitchers in baseball over the season’s first month. He was coming off his second complete game of the season and first shutout, a 2-0 win over Atlanta, and entered with an 0.82 ERA.
The six-time All-Star and 2003 AL Cy Young winner was touched for five runs and 10 hits in seven innings Monday to take his first loss of the year. He had won each of his first four starts of the season and the five runs eclipsed his total runs allowed this season by one.
Shane Victorino had three of the Phillies' four hits and the club left 11 men on base in the loss, their third in the last four games.
