There’s no official word yet on Brett Anderson’s status, but Buster Olney offers some info:
Olney: Anderson Will Be Out 4-6 Weeks
Heard this: Brett Anderson will be out the next 4 to 6 weeks, with the flexor strain.
If true, that would be a big blow to an A’s team that leans on Anderson at the front of the rotation. While Anderson is out, his replacement in the rotation is likely to be one of Vin Mazzaro or Trevor Cahill. Both have had success in AAA Sacramento in the early going.
