Marc Andre Bergeron’s Power Play Goal Gives Canadiens 1-0 Lead At End Of First

Marc Andre Bergeron scores a power play goal to give the Montreal Canadiens a 1-0 lead as the first period ends. Bergeron’s goal comes with thirty seconds left in the first period.

The Capitals have outshot the Canadiens 11-8 in the first period and have had some good pressure on goaltender Jaroslav Halak while at the other end, Simeon Varlamov has had his share of saves as well.

The team that has scored first has gone 5-1 in this series with the lone loss coming in Game 2.
