Okay, so let’s go over this again.
2010 NBA Draft To Feature 103 Early Entry Candidates, Plenty Of Tears
↵The NBA draft is two rounds long. There are thirty teams in the NBA. That means there are sixty picks. Sound good?
↵With that in mind, someone is going to have to explain to at least forty-three dreamy-eyed underclassmen that they aren’t going to be drafted (and that’s assuming that zero seniors are taken). Literally, there just won’t be room.
↵↵The NBA announced today that 103 players, including 80 players from U.S. colleges and 23 international players, have filed as early entry candidates for the 2010 NBA Draft.
↵↵You would think that guys such as Utah’s Carlon Brown, or Virginia Tech’s Malcolm Delaney, or Lipscomb’s Adnan Hozdic, all of whom are projected to be undrafted, would perhaps try to give themselves another shot (or two or three) at putting together a draft-worthy résumé. Perhaps they figure they can sign a D-League contract and make a quick buck or two. But, regardless, there are going to be some disappointed young folks on draft night.
↵I have a hunch that his man will not be one of them.
