Jerry World has many things that make it unique, probably none more than the gigantic video board that hangs above the field. That giant scoreboard could have company in Minnesota at some point in the future, according to BizJournals.com.↵
Could The Vikes Get Their Own Gigantic Scoreboard?

↵↵⇥ The team has talked with its architect, Dallas-based HKS, about the possibility of hanging a big screen over the field from a fixed roof at the Metrodome, confirmed Lester Bagley, the Vikings’ vice president of public affairs and stadium development, to the SportsBusiness Journal, a sister publication of the Dallas Business Journal.↵⇥↵⇥HKS also designed of the $1.4 billion Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, which opened at the beginning of the 2009 season.↵⇥
↵⇥↵⇥“All things being equal, that would be our preference once we sort out our financing package,” Bagley said. “But it’s still a little early to say, ‘Put us down for a center-hung.’”↵⇥
↵↵↵The Cowboys’ scoreboard, produced by Mitsubishi, cost Jerry Jones $40 million and gives the stadium something everyone talks about during every broadcast, but would it lose some of its uniqueness if it something similar resided in the Vikings’ refinished home? This would leave Jones in a position where he has to upgrade something in that stadium to win back the nation’s attention. I like the prospects of Jerry Jones in a spending war because the results can only be wildly entertaining.↵
