A's catcher Kurt Suzuki has been a big part of the team's early success, as he's provided the most pop in a lineup devoid of much power. He's also been out of action since April 23rd with a muscle strain, though, and that strain has finally forced him to the disabled list:
Kurt Suzuki Hits The DL With An Intercostal Strain
Kurt Suzuki hasn't been told he's on the DL but he assumes he is since Josh Donaldson is here. He aims to be back May 9 or 11.

All other moves official: Suzuki to DL and Carson optioned.
The good news for Oakland is that Suzuki shouldn't be out much more time than the minimum. Josh Donaldson has had a good start to the year in AAA, and Jake Fox is known for his offensive potential. Still, if you're an A's fan, the injuries have to be driving you up the wall. Suzuki joins Michael Wuertz, Joey Devine, Brett Anderson, Jon Meloan, Josh Outman, Mark Ellis, Travis Buck, and Coco Crisp as expected contributors on the DL, and joining them shortly will also be Justin Duchscherer.
