Redskins Contact Former Cowboys OT Flozell Adams

The Cowboys released 13-year veteran left tackle Flozell Adams last week. Within 24 hours of his release, news broke that three teams had contacted him expressing interest.

We’ve identified one of those teams.

According to Ryan O’Halloran of CSN Washington, the Redskins have contacted Adams’ agent.

There’s no telling what level of interest they’re showing in Adams but a signing has the potential to have a big impact in the NFL draft.

If the Redskins bring him in, it would seemingly relieve them of the need to draft a left tackle with the fourth pick in the draft.

LT Chris Samuels retired at seasons end leaving a gaping hole at the left tackle spot.

Though Adams is up there in age, he could be a stopgap if the Redskins have their eye on another player -- say Eric Berry -- at the fourth pick.

Keep an eye on this one. It could be interesting.
