Daniel Alfredsson Plays In His 1,000th Game Tuesday Night

By stepping on the ice against the Florida Panthers, Daniel Alfredsson has played in his 1,000th career game. All 1,000 games have come with the Ottawa Senators and Alfredsson should be a good case for the Hall of Fame. What exactly does he mean for the Senators though? The guys at Silver Seven take a look at Alfredsson’s career and what he has meant to the organization:

↵↵Where would the Senators be without Daniel Alfredsson? It’s hard to imagine such a world, and perhaps it’s better not to. After all, the man is the NHL’s longest-serving captain for a reason: he’s been the heart and soul of this franchise for as long as most of us can remember, and has come incredibly far since being picked 133rd overall in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft.

↵↵Daniel Alfredsson has won the Calder Trophy and scored countless numbers of goals and assists. He is still missing that one key piece of hardware though, the Stanley Cup.
