↵The Xavier guard, who became an Internet sensation last summer when a tape of his dunk “over” LeBron James was confiscated by Nike, has been declared eligible for the NBA Draft.
↵Sylvia Crawford, Jordan Crawford’s mom, took to her facebook page on Wednesday morning to announce her son’s intention to test the NBA Draft waters in June.
↵She then told SBNation, again via facebook, that she’d recommend Jordan be drafted “#1.”
↵Gotta love a mother’s blind optimism.
↵This is just the latest example of parents announcing their son’s NBA Draft plans. Daniel Orton and his dad apparently weren’t on the same page earlier this month when his dad reportedly said his son would enter the draft, only to have Daniel later take to his Twitter page to debunk the rumor.
↵Memo to parents of potential NBA draft picks: please don’t steal the spotlight from your sons!
↵Let your son put his own name in the NBA Draft.
↵Or at least consult with the kid before you break the news.
