Houston, TX (Sports Network) - Edgar Renteria went 5-for-5 with a walk and two runs batted in, as the San Francisco Giants completed a three-game sweep of the Houston Astros with a 10-4 win at Minute Maid Park.

Aaron Rowand added four hits, including a triple, two RBI and a run scored, while John Bowker hammered a two-run homer for the Giants, who recorded their first three-game sweep in Houston since May 15-17, 2006. Travis Ishikawa belted a pinch-hit solo shot in the ninth for San Francisco.
Matt Cain didn't figure in the decision after working 6 2/3 innings, allowing four runs -- three earned -- on six hits and fanning five. Jeremy Affeldt (1-0) picked up the win with 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief.
Cory Sullivan had a pinch-hit two-run triple in the seventh and Pedro Feliz added a pair of doubles and an RBI for Houston, which is off to its worst start to the season since it began 2007 with four straight defeats.
Brett Myers, who earned a no-decision, was tagged for four runs on 12 hits and one walk with three strikeouts over six-plus frames in his Astros debut. He signed a one-year deal in the offseason with the club after spending his first eight years with Philadelphia.
With the game deadlocked at 4-4, Sammy Gervacio (0-1) took the hill for the Astros in the top of the eighth and promptly served up a double to Juan Uribe. Eli Whiteside's sacrifice bunt was thrown away by Gervacio trying to get the lead runner at third which allowed Uribe to score and Whiteside taking third base. Two batters later, Rowand's bloop RBI single to left made it 6-4.
Gervacio's wild pitch with Renteria at the plate moved Rowand to second and the pitcher was taken out with a shoulder injury. Chris Sampson was summoned from the bullpen and walked Renteria but settled down to retire the next two batters.
The Giants blew it open in the top of the ninth, scoring four times. Ishikawa led off with a homer to right. Then later in the inning, Uribe's run-scoring double and RBI singles from Rowand and Renteria made it 10-4. Guillermo Mota retired the side in order in the home ninth to close out the win.
Myers worked out of some trouble in the first inning, but the Giants got to him for a pair in the second. Mark DeRosa led off the frame with a base hit and Bowker followed with a two-run homer to right.
In the third, San Francisco loaded the bases on three straight singles with nobody out. However, DeRosa grounded into a 6-4-3 double play that brought home a run for a 3-0 game.
Feliz's run scoring double in the fourth chased in Hunter Pence, who reached on a two-base error to get Houston on the board.
Renteria gave the Giants a 4-1 lead in the top of the seventh with an RBI single before Houston came storming back with three in the home half to even things. With runners on first and second and two down, Sullivan laced a two- run triple to straight away center. After Jeremy Affeldt came on for Cain, Michael Bourn's infield single brought in the tying run.
The Giants opened a season with three straight wins for the first time since 2003 when they began the campaign 7-0...San Francisco went 5-for-19 with runners in scoring position and stranded 12, while Houston was 3-for-8 with RISP an left four on base.
