Boston, MA (Sports Network) - Curtis Granderson's leadoff homer in the 10th inning was the spark that helped send the New York Yankees past Boston, 3-1, in the finale of a three-game set from Fenway Park.

Nick Swisher and Mark Teixeira also knocked in a run each for the Yankees, who took two of three in this season-opening series.
Chan Ho Park (1-1) earned the win after allowing one hit over three relief innings and Mariano Rivera got the final three outs for his second save in as many games. Starter Andy Pettitte went six frames, yielding six hits and one run while fanning four and walking three.
David Ortiz knocked in the lone run of the game for the Red Sox, who had won the opener on Sunday before dropping two in a row. Jonathan Papelbon (0-1) was charged in the loss with two runs in 1 1/3 innings.
In his Boston debut, John Lackey went six scoreless innings and allowed three hits, struck out three and walked two.
