The deal includes Gallardo’s 2010 season, extending through 2014 with a 2015 option. As such, Milwaukee has locked up its ace for at least his first year of free agency, with an option for a second. It’s a hefty deal and a considerable commitment, but depending on the financial details, it could end up being a real steal.
