The reason that Couples is making the putts that he has been may well have to do with how he has been winning on the Champions Tour. In all of his starts on the 50+ junket, Couples has won or finished in second. He hasn’t posted a round worse than 68, and his worst three round total has been -17. Those numbers are indicative of a guy performing very well on a tour often referenced as a putting contest.
