Vladimir Sobotka Doesn’t Care About Your Game-Winning OT Goal Scorers

Simon Gagne scored an overtime game-winning goal on Friday night, simultaneously forcing the booking of thousands of plane tickets from Philadelphia to Boston as the Flyers staved off elimination and forced a Game 5 against the Bruins.

↵One would assume that Bruins forward Vladimir Sobotka was in the building on Friday night, and one would assume that Gagne’s goal forced him into the locker room minus celebration. You’d think he knows of Mr. Gagne and that he knows about the fact that Gagne played in Game 5, is my point here.

↵Ah, not so fast. From the Boston Globe:

The return of Gagne, the Flyer with the longest tenure at 10 seasons, was significant to some Bruins, less so for others.

“I don’t even know that he was back in the lineup,’’ said Vladimir Sobotka. “It doesn’t matter who they get back.’’

You didn't know he was in the lineup? I mean, really, Vlad?

Gagne and the Flyers will try to impress Mr. Sobotka and the Bruins once again tonight at TD Garden for Game 5.
