Strange Odds Released For Tim Sylvia v. Mariusz Pudzianowski

BetUS released their line for the upcoming bout between Tim Sylvia and Mariusz Pudzianowski. Predictably Sylvia is the favorite. But at only -200 he seems like he may be the best bet of the year. Pudzianowski fought this past weekend and just looked awful. He comes out extremely aggressive and tries to get a lot done quickly but he gasses so incredibly quickly that I just can’t see any way that Sylvia should be less than -450. To increase the strangeness, Sylvia opened at -130.

↵I understand that maybe fans were turned off by Sylvia’s KO loss to Ray Mercer, but Mercer hits like a truck and caught Tim clean. Pudzianowski is strong, but Sylvia has better wrestling, better striking, better gas, and far more experience. It’s time to take out a second mortgage and bet it all on Sylvia.
