The ratings for Spike TV’s premiere episode of UFC Primetime: “Rampage vs. Evans” are in, and they’re record breaking.
Ratings For UFC Primetime: ‘Rampage v Evans’ Best In Series History
↵The third installation of this series, preceded by Primetime shows for the UFC 94 bout between Georges St. Pierre vs. B.J. Penn and just recently the UFC 111 contest between Georges St. Pierre vs. Dan Hardy, debuted this past Wednesday to the tune of 1.2 million viewers.
↵By comparison, the first series with GSP and Penn back in 2009 never eclipsed the million mark, and the second series with GSP and Hardy earlier this year maxed out with 1 million viewers for its premiere.
↵I gotta say I’m a bit surprised that a show chronicling a match up that is way past due, albeit featuring one of the promotion’s more colorful characters in Rampage Jackson, outdrew the shows that centered around arguably the sport’s biggest star, Georges St. Pierre.
↵Episode two and three of this series, documenting the lead up to the UFC 114 main event fight between Rampage and Rashad Evans, will air on May 19 and May 26 respectively, immediately following The Ultimate Fighter 11.
