There was some hope that Andre Ethier’s fractured pinkie would only keep him out for a handful of games, but that’s out the window now as, sure enough, he’s going to land on the disabled list:

On the plus side, the Dodgers are 3-0 since Ethier went down with the injury. On the down side, they’ve only scored 11 runs and hit but one dinger. Xavier Paul may not be LA’s savior, but he’s a better bet to approximate Ethier’s value than either Garret Anderson or Reed Johnson, who have struggled out of the gate.
