↵“I have no doubt that Cigano is going to be another Brazilian champion. In the past, he was a hope, but today is a reality in the UFC. He’s a heavyweight with skilled hands and he easily learns the tecniques during the trainings, not only in boxing. He’s either good in jiu-jitsu or wrestling. The next fight is still away, then we keep focusing boxing. When the fight is closer we start to mix the styles”.
Junior Dos Santos’ Trainer Believes Him To Be A Future Champ
↵↵- Junior Dos Santos’ trainer Luiz Dorea speaks to UOL (HT: MMA Mania)
↵The big question with Dos Santos is still how will he handle a big wrestler. With Cain Velasquez, Brock Lesnar, and Shane Carwin all hanging out around the top of the division with very powerful wrestling, that is a very legitimate question to ask.
↵So far Junior’s striking has been shockingly effective and he has been plowing through everyone with solid technical and extremely powerful striking. A match with Velasquez remains very appealing but Dana White has made it clear that he has very little interest in seeing that fight right now and setting one of his top challengers back.
