Shane Roller vs Takanori Gomi Added To 2010 UFC Fan Expo Grappling Tournament

In addition to the four super fights that were announced by the UFC yesterday for their grappling tournament at the 2010 UFC Fan Expo later this month, the world’s leading MMA promotion today officially announced a super fight for the tournament in the form of Takanori Gomi vs. Shane Roller.

Former Pride FC lightweight champion Takanori Gomi was at one time considered perhaps the best lightweight fighter on the planet. He has struggled recently, however, having lost two of his last four matches to competition that is far from elite prior to joining the UFC earlier this year.
