Wanderlei Silva Sets Goal To Continue Fighting Until 40

↵I want to fight over six years, at least until I hit forty. This change of class was good, I had to re-educate myself on the food and I’m feeling pretty good about it,

↵↵- Wanderlei Silva via Tatame

↵It is just very hard to say if Silva can fight at a high level until he is 40. He bottomed out badly at 205 pounds but the cut to 185 seems to have helped him to a degree. If he can get by Yoshihiro Akiyama at UFC 116 it will renew my faith in his ability to compete for a title. Not that I think Akiyama is particularly good, but he presents enough problems that it would be a good test for Wanderlei to pass.
