Dana White Only Gives James Toney A ‘Puncher’s Chance’

↵“He has a puncher’s chance of course. Can he clip [Randy] Couture and knock him out? Of course of he could, but all signs point to Randy Couture should win the fight.

↵↵- Via an interview with MMA Fighting

↵Toney is a boxer who just does not have an easy to transition style for MMA. He’s a shoulder rolling counter puncher which leaves him very open for leg kicks and takedowns. Of course, much of how well he’ll be able to do will come down to what his training camp is like. If he’s able to put together a camp where he learns what will and won’t work in MMA maybe he can find some success, but if he’s just looking to do what he does because it’s what has always worked...it’s going to get ugly for him very quickly.
