Everyone who follows the NFL Draft was given a treat for the 2010 selection process. That treat was Daniel Jeremiah.
Scout turned Internet draft guy turns scout again
The former Ravens and Browns scout became a must-follow on the Internet with his Tweets, podcasts and website MoveTheSticks.com. After multiple podcasts and garnering 19,000 Twitter followers, Jeremiah is presumably out of the Internet draft game.
First noticed by Adam Caplain of Scout.com, Jeremiah has been hired as a college area scout by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Congratulations to him. Jeremiah’s voice was a strong one with authority and intelligence. His site still has all of its content up, so check it out now in case the Eagles make him take it offline.
Jeremiah was let go by the Browns by head coach Eric Mangini. He was still under contract with Cleveland through the end of the 2010 NFL Draft. Jeremiah regularly appeared on ESPN television, so it seemed if he weren’t getting a scoting job with a team, he probably would be working for ESPN.
Update: As MTD writer Conjunction pointed out in the comments, Jeremiah’s site and Twitter account have disappeared. Fortunately, I saved a bunch of stuff from the site last night.
