Today’s sad news: actor Dennis Hopper is dead at 74. Personally, I knew him best for his role in the existential drama Speed, featuring the classic debate with Keanu Reeves’ tortured character over whether height trumps intelligence, and in season one of 24, which featured Hopper as a villain with a hilariously over-the-top accent.
