A lot of people have a difficult time maintaining an intellectual distance from work when confronted with similar tasks in their everyday life. Which is why I’m constantly chided for putting HTML coding on my bank statements and links to goofy YouTube videos in my gym membership contract.
All The World’s A Racetrack To Tomas Scheckter
I would argue that these are relatively benign slip-ups, but then my profession carries very little risk to begin with. A race car driver, however, has to remember to adhere to the rules of the road when not on the racetrack.
Tomas Scheckter needs a refresher, apparently, as he was hit with a speeding ticket on Friday, two days before finishing 15th in the Indianapolis 500.
On Interstate 65 in Indianapolis, Scheckter was caught driving erratically at an indeterminate speed well above the posted speed limit of 55 mph. Police couldn’t get an exact measure on his speed because of the way he was quickly weaving through traffic.
The driver could have easily been arrested for reckless driving, but by his own admission he received a little preferential treatment by the ticketing officer. I hope officers will show the same leniency when I tell them inappropriate jokes. IT’S ALL I KNOW AS A BLOGGER!
