Big Cat Country: Writer Jonathan Loesche explains why the Jaguars will never draft Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett. He bases it on some character issues. So if not Mallett, then who? Jags fans seem to think their team won't totally suck, so that eliminates Washington's Jake Locker. That may also mean no Andrew Luck if he comes out and is the top five pick everyone seems to think. Christian Ponder? Come on down!
Dr. Saturday: In the latest coming attraction profile, Matt Hinton looks at Florida safety Ahmad Black. You might remember Black almost entered the 2010 draft and his dad dropped some crazy ass quotes about Urban Meyer and disrespect. But as a prospect, Black is an average one. He's a college safety who might move to pro cornerback. He can't support the run and is short at 5-foot-9.
National Football Post: Head draft writer Wes Bunting looks at Oklahoma running back DeMarco Murray and whether or not his game can make the transition to the NFL. The issues with Murray are a lack a patience and his high running style that leads to injuries.
Detroit Free Press: Michigan recruited someone named Chris Rock. This isn’t really draft related, but I just like Chris Rock the comedian. So I’ll definitely be following the career of the defensive lineman hoping he’s half as good as the comedian.
NFL Mocks: If you remember former MTD writer Jon Dove, he's tearing it up at NFL Mocks. This is a link to his quick scouting report on Ras-I Dowling. Bookmark the site, but don't forget where he came from first.
