Forget LeBron, Amare And D-Wade: Meet The REAL Dream Team Of 2010

Last week, it was reported that LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Joe Johnson would all sit down to discuss their plans for free agency. Then we heard that, wait, Chris Bosh wants to get involved, too! And today, Amare Stoudemire’s the one that wants to be inlcuded.

Via AOL Fanhouse:

The game of dominoes will begin with LeBron James, with everyone not named LeBron set to fall in line or perhaps join forces. Rosters will begin to take shape in New York, New Jersey, Miami, and Chicago. Contracts will be offered, decisions will be made. And long before then, you can rest assured that all involved parties will be coordinating as if this is a Round Robin tournament at Rucker Park.

"I have no idea what LeBron is going to do," Stoudemire told FanHouse. "And that impacts everybody, so you just have to figure out what decisions are being made and what teams are trying to stack up on championships."

Now, this is the sort of thing that often gets exaggerated by the media. Because... Amare Stoudemire, Chris Bosh, Joe Johnson, LeBron James, and Dwyane Wade? That’s a dream team right there. Of course the media would like to glamorize whatever offhand chatter goes on between those friends.

Will these players talk? Sure. They know each other, and they’re each going through the same process, in the same media fishbowl. Now, will they have some grand, meeting of the minds summit in the Bahamas? Probably not.

But while we’re on the subject, here are five free agents that should be plotting world dominance.

Forget Bosh, Wade, LeBron, Joe Johnson, and Amare. Meet the REAL power players.

I know, I know. It’s far-fetched, given the salary cap. But can you even begin to imagine if all these guys were able to sign with the same team?

And who knows? Maybe J.J. Redick would take a pay-cut to play with Luke Ridnour. You have to think, whatever he might sacrifice in salary, Matt Bonner would definitely make up for it with endorsements. I mean... Admit it: It’s not THAT crazy. Could it really happen though? Only time will tell, but it’s certainly an idea with the potential to radically alter the basketball universe.

They could even bring Aaron Gray and Steve Blake off the bench!

Somewhere in Nantucket, these power players are plotting something that NOBODY can see coming. So get ready for it. And crank up some Journey in their honor. 2010, y’all.
