The Rays and John Maddon are known for their team-bonding endeavors. They’ve sported mohawks. They’ve dressed up like cowboys. They’ve dressed up like Johnny Cash. They’ve dressed up in Ed Hardy.

The first thing you notice is the abundance of Blackhawks jerseys and the shortage of, y’know, Lightning jerseys. Pitching coach Jim Hickey has a connection that allowed the team to get free Hawks gear, but you’d think the Lightning would’ve been a little more supportive once they found out what was going on.
Still, while I would’ve liked to see Tampa represented a little better, overall, a good job was done all around, if only because no one showed up wearing the Charlestown Chiefs.
