Sunday night, hard-throwing young Rangers starter Derek Holland had to be pulled early after his velocity was down and he complained of numbness in his throwing hand. Now, a day later, he's set to land on the disabled list.

It's a scary injury, but the symptom was perhaps scarier than the actual problem. Still, while Holland may only miss two weeks of action, the team is yet to announce a timetable for his recovery. Until he comes back, expect Tommy Hunter to fill in. Hunter was bounced from the rotation before the year after suffering an oblique strain, but he's made five starts with AAA Oklahoma City, walking eight while striking out 12.
