Ibrahimovic And Pique: Is There Something To See Here?

It’s sexuality week here at SBNation Soccer; at least, it has been for the nefarious world of football fanatics who pass around innocuous pictures, scandalize them so we - I mean they - can resuscitate the mocking “ooooo” we made in second grade when Benjamin Bowyer held Lisa Meyers’ hand.

↵Though I may be missing the subtext, it appears (in this picture) that Gerard Piqué may be Benjamin to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s Lisa.

↵It also appears that there may be nothing to it. Regardless, as Ollie Irish points out at Who Ate All the Pies, there are cultural reasons to think the “are they gay” murmuring is nothing more than people hating on Zlatan Ibrahimovic (one of soccer fans’ great passions).

↵And in all fairness, who cares? If they are, that’s cool. If not, fine. I’m much more interested in what’s bothering Zlatan, should it explain his plight at Barcelona.

↵In all fairness to Piqué (and Ibra), Zlatan does look scared. If Benjamin Bowyer looked like that, I’d comfort him, too.
