Pittsburgh, Philly, St. Louis And Boston Among Finalists For 2012, 2013 Frozen Fours

Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, St. Louis and Boston are four of the cities being considered as host for the NCAA Frozen Four in 2012 and 2012, according to College Hockey News. The CHN report says that other cities may be in the running as well, but that news isn’t known just yet.

↵Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, which is set to open a brand new hockey arena in the fall, have never hosted the event. St. Louis hosted the event in 2007 while Boston hosted in 2004.

↵In ‘07, the St. Louis event was hosted by the now-defunct College Hockey America conference. There are a ton of schools that could be the host for another Boston event, while Princeton seems to be the most likely host for a Philadelphia Frozen Four. Robert Morris is hosting the Pittsburgh bid.
