Bruce Drennan is the host of a talk show in Cleveland called All Bets Are Off. It’s a television show, set like a radio show. In essence, he’s paid to give his opinion and be provocative. That’s what gets the ratings, right? Right.↵↵So, with that edict, Drennan went on his show after the Indians lost to the Blue Jays and did what he’s paid to do. And it’s glorious.↵

↵↵As Kevin Kaduk pointed out on Twitter, Drennan “is just some old version of Colin Cowherd,” mentioning that it would have been much better if the rant were spontaneous and not a post game set up. But this one is better than most as TD at Waiting for Next Year explained that Drennan did his rant on the same station the team broadcasts its games.↵
↵↵Some people in media are paid to write insightful features. Some are paid to reproduce the facts of a game in an easily digestible format. Some are paid to analyze. Some are paid to aggregate those things. And others…well, others are paid to rant like madmen and compare sluggers to ballerinas. ↵
