David Wright Slugs Two Homers As Mets Sweep Orioles, 11-4

Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - David Wright blasted a pair of two-run homers and Mike Pelfrey won his fifth game in six starts, as the Mets finished out a three-game road sweep of the Orioles with an 11-4 win.

Pelfrey (9-1) went six innings and held the O's to three runs on nine hits to remain unbeaten over his last eight starts. He picked up his ninth victory of the season to trail only Colorado's Ubaldo Jimenez in the National League.

Jason Bay helped back the effort with a 4-for-4 day at the plate. He launched his fourth home run of the season and scored four times, while Chris Carter hit a three-run homer. Alex Cora added to the 18-hit attack with a three-hit, two-RBI game for New York, which has won eight of its last nine games.

Kevin Millwood (0-8) was shelled for 11 hits and eight runs in 5 1/3 innings to remain winless on the year as Baltimore continued a season-long swoon with its 15th loss in 17 games. Adam Jones had three hits and two RBI in the loss.
