It’s been more than a week since the first report that the Cleveland Cavaliers had offered Michigan State coach Tom Izzo a contract to jump to the NBA. We’ll leave all the NBA-related questions of this one to Eric Freeman over on The Baseline, but from the college side, the MSU faithful are making it known that they’d like to keep their coach.↵
Michigan State Fans Show Love for Tom Izzo

↵↵That photo comes courtesy of the We Love Izzo crew on Twitter, which is reportedly where Izzo parks his car. And those weren’t the only signs made. My guess is that if you’re anywhere near the Breslin Center, where Izzo is running a day camp, you’ll probably see quite a few of these planted in the grass.↵
↵↵There’s an actual site, WeLoveIzzo.com, which was registered on June 10, but already has more than 2,400 posts in 24 hours. The site was started by Camron Gnass of Lansing, Michigan. ↵
↵↵Gnass’ site is even bringing out celebrities* weighing in on Izzo’s decision.↵

↵↵Ah yes, Hedo Turkoglu’s postgame words have always been open to interpretation. But what do they mean for Izzo?↵
↵
↵
↵
↵↵Perhaps Hov himself has stopped by this fan site to vent frustrations that he was secretly overruled by Mikhail Prokhorov when the team hired Avery Johnson instead of Izzo?↵

↵
↵↵OK, now you’re just quoting movies. Then again, maybe there is a kinship between Walter Sobchak and Tom Izzo, a coach who does a rebounding drill he calls “war.” ↵
↵↵*All celebrity comments are obviously fake, and all interpretations can be labeled as a heavy dose of sarcasm.↵
↵↵As for any actual news on the Izzo front today ... don’t count on it. He dodged a question from a child at his camp today, reportedly smiling and saying it was a “bad question” and then he “pointed to media members at Breslin’s concourse level after the kid talked and said that’s what the media wants to know.”
