PHILADELPHIA -- Sure, they have a reputation of being a little brutish, maybe even a little bit dense. Just ask the Hairman, who spoke to myself and Brandon Worley of NBC’s ProHockeyTalk out in the parking lot just a bit ago. After a four year absence, the alter ego of Bill Page has returned.
Other fans, mostly intoxicated, also have faith in their team. We talked to a trio of Flyers fans enjoying a few Bud Light’s in the parking lot. They railed on about the resiliency of their team, all the nonsense they’ve been through this season, and how it’s only fitting that the Blackhawks have them in a hole right now.
Some people might look at a confident Flyers fan and call them naive, but if you look at the team they’ve followed throughout the 2009-10 campaign, can you really blame them for continuing to hold out hope?
