Titans running back Chris Johnson is probably the most notable East Carolina football alum these days, but it’s clear that not everyone from the school possesses his speed. If they did, then ex-walk-on Matt Pick would’ve been able to avoid being face down on the pavement after getting the business end of a Taser while streaking on Sunday night.↵↵Warning: The news report below features some brief uncovered backside skin.↵

More details on the incident from the Star News:↵↵⇥Matthew Martin Pick, 23, of Greenville, was arrested on Lumina Avenue and charged with indecent exposure and resisting and obstructing a public officer, according to New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office reports.↵⇥↵⇥Sheriff Ed McMahon said during a news conference Tuesday afternoon that a deputy told Pick to stop streaking. Pick didn’t stop, and Cpl. Eric Brown Tased him.↵⇥
↵↵↵The video alone is good fun, but let’s all take a minute to admire that mugshot from the incident. Great ‘stache.↵
↵↵Pick started his career as a walk-on at Georgia before heading over to East Carolina. From skimming his player bio, we learned a few important facts. Pick is a big fan of Harry Caray. He has a role in a boy band. And, this last one is particularly relevant: Pick says a gladiator fight in the Roman Coliseum would be the ultimate sporting event to watch. That’s a key point. Obviously Pick was just a gladiator-era reenactor being faithful to the traditions of their time by competing in the nude. It all makes sense now. Drop the charges, officers.↵
