↵↵“People ask me that all the time. This is what I believe. I believe my job is to put on fights that people want to see. I keep hearing that and enough people want to see it. I guess I’m gonna have to do it... But the fight doesn’t really make all that much sense to me because Georges St. Pierre is a true 170 pounder. Anderson Silva at 185 has moved up to 205 and done very well at that weight. I see him moving up, not moving down.”
↵↵Dana’s right. A fight between Georges St. Pierre and Anderson Silva doesn’t really make much sense at the moment. That being said, there isn’t a person in their right mind who wouldn’t pay to see it.
↵Considering that both gentlemen’s schedules are tied up for the foreseeable future - GSP and Silva defending their belts in December and August respectively - and with an all but certain move to light heavyweight for the “Spider” within the next year, the opportunity to bring the fight to fruition may have passed.
