Nets Trade Chris Douglas-Roberts To The Bucks For 2012 Second-Rounder

On the heels of acquiring Corey Maggette from the Warriors, the Bucks have made a move for another wing scorer, picking up Chris Douglas-Roberts from the Nets for a 2012 second round pick, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

The former Memphis star put up 9.8 points and 3.0 rebounds for the woeful Nets last season, decent production for a player picked 40th overall in the 2008 draft. However, Douglas-Roberts clashed with Nets management last season, apparently making him expendable this offseason.

For the Bucks, Douglas-Roberts should provide them with some decent scoring production off the bench at minimal cost: not even a 2010 second-rounder, but one two years down the line. Even better for the Bucks, Douglas-Roberts only has $854,000 and one more season left on his contract, meaning that if he doesn’t pan out, the Bucks can cut bait next summer, only being out a future second round pick.

Still, not everyone on the Nets was happy with the news. Here was Terrence Williams’ take on the move:
