Introducing SB Nation Denver, Where Tulo Is A Winner

As you may have heard, for the past month we’ve been rolling out SB Nation regional sites -- D.C., Boston, New York...the list goes on. So it’s with great pleasure that I’d like to welcome our latest regional offering, SB Nation Denver, covering all things Broncos, Nuggets, Avalanche, Rockies and Buffaloes.

Led by senior editor Russ Oates, of Purple Row fame, SB Nation Denver put together a list of the top five most popular Denver athletes as part of its launch. How’d it shake out?

Rockie shortstop Troy Tulowitzki took home the top spot, after leading the Rockies to the playoffs in two of his first three seasons (including a NL pennant in 2007).

Meanwhile, Carmelo Anthony, seemingly the only significant NBAer who’s NOT a free agent this summer, is apparently second in Denverites hearts, just ahead of Football Jesus himself -- and everybody’s favorite third-string quarterback -- Tim Tebow. Ubaldo Jimenez has to be wondering what exactly he has to do on the mound to outpace someone who’s never actually played a down of professional football (hint: change his name to Stephen Strasburg), after ranking fourth, with the Avalanche’s Paul Stastny rounding out the list.

Now it’s your turn to tell us how you’d rank the stars of the Denver sports universe. Will Carmelo beat out the pair of Rockies, or will the hype-machine that is Tim Tebow steamroll them all?
